The Cardinal and Bosola

In preparation for lessons on Friday, you should compare the two main encounters (and the secondary ones) of Bosola and the Cardinal.

• What is the main difference between the tone of the encounters?
• Who holds the upper hand in each?
• Both are men who hold double lives. How do they wear this mantle?

Then, be prepared to respond to this prompt (with dot points as this will be our stater):

Referring the Act 5 Sc2, The Cardinal’s ennui is the ennui of everyone who runs out of steam living two lives or living by double standards? How far do you agree with this statement?

Please submit your work on the context of John Donne' poetry. Please ensure you give the area you researched a clear title and sign your name at the bottom so I know who's done what!

When this is all done, you should review all areas and take notes (I'll look for evidence next week) from each section ready to be quizzed next week.
